My name is Sevasti Ziogas Varitimidis. I was born in Athens, Greece and graduated from the University of Athens with an Undergraduate degree in Primary Education. I obtained my Masters in School Counseling from Argosy University in Tampa and I hold the Professional Educator’s Certificate in World Language-Greek (K-12) and Guidance and Counseling (Prek-12). It is my sixteenth year working at the Athenian Academy and I have also been the Executive Director of Greek Education, and the instructor of the Athenian Academy Chorus Group. Prior to working at this school, I have worked as a teacher in the public-school system in Greece for over four years and as a foreign language teacher in Boston, Mass. for six years. Complimenting my teaching position, I would also like to emphasize my personal experience in rearing my four children as a valuable case study in child development. As far as my interests, I love travelling, being involved in the community, and creating effective learning experiences for learners of all ages.
HELLENICOLOGY was founded with one purpose - to build a space for the community to learn about the Greek language, heritage, and culture . I invite you to explore my site and discover the academics and community HELLENICOLOGY provides to each and every student.
